How CoinBox handles your data.

Last updated: September 28, 2026

In short

CoinBox has no accounts: no name, email or password is needed. Your transactions, accounts, budgets and other records are stored on your iPhone.

Data leaves your device only when you use AI features yourself — voice or text expense entry and the AI spending audit.

The app has no ads and no advertising trackers. We don’t sell your data or share it for advertising.

Data on your device

Everything you enter in CoinBox is stored on your iPhone. CoinBox does not sync your data to our server. If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, the app’s data may be included in that backup.

Backups, Excel and CSV files are created by you and saved wherever you choose.

AI features

When you add an expense by voice or text, the phrase and your category names are sent to our server to recognize the amount, category and currency.

The AI spending audit runs only with your consent and sends an aggregated summary of your spending, not your full list of transactions, accounts or balances.

Requests are processed using OpenAI models. We don’t pass your name, email or contacts along with them, and we don’t store the content of your requests.

Other network requests

The app loads exchange rates, investment prices and service logos from public sources and our server. Only currency codes, tickers or web addresses are sent.

Feedback

If you contact us via “Ask a question” in Settings, we receive your message, the email you enter and basic technical details about the app and device. We use them only to reply.

Deleting your data

You can erase all records in Settings → “Delete all data”. Deleting the app also removes its data from your device.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we will update this page. For any questions, use “Ask a question” in CoinBox Settings.
